About Erica

Bringing people together to spark incredible outcomes

A passionate organizer of people and initiatives, Erica Smigielski, brings over twenty years of experience in project leadership to financial software and Saas companies looking to launch their next big project.

Erica holds certifications as a Stanford Advanced Project Manager and a Certified Group Facilitator, making her a master orchestrator of strategic planning and a skillful communicator who can expertly navigate complex group dynamics.

Erica got her first taste of project management at Advent, where, after 6 years of successfully leading a technical support team, she transitioned into a new role as a project manager. It wasn’t long before she’d introduced a PMO framework to the organization, including formalizing processes, tools, and reporting. She spent 3 years building her team, hiring, grooming, and mentoring other project managers before expanding again. In her next role, Erica was project managing new business initiatives, where she took on global, cross-functional projects with 3rd party partners and oversaw projects from concept to launch. This was where Erica found her sweet spot: mentoring teams, championing projects, garnering buy-in, and becoming the spokesperson to communicate upward and outward to get great work completed. After more than 14 collective years of dedicated project management work, Erica decided to bring her services to more organizations by striking out on her own and introducing SparkPath.

This journey led her to establish SparkPath Consulting, where she leads strategic initiatives as a fractional project manager, chief of staff, and master communicator for RIA firms in the wealth management industry. She’s learned that powerful leadership comes from embracing our whole selves—determination, compassion, intellect, and intuition. At SparkPath Consulting, she combines strategic acumen with empathetic leadership to drive impactful business changes.

After two decades of working with senior corporate leaders, she was inspired to launch a companion initiative—SparkPath Guidance—from a desire to evolve the “hustle” culture that dominates so many workplaces. Motivated by the burnout epidemic and a call to help women leaders move towards balance, she leads workshops, and other organizational programs focused on creating a corporate revolution in leadership for women. By integrating her experience and insights in business consulting with her soulful self-discovery journey, she’s created a unique approach that empowers women leaders to embrace their authentic selves. We’re not just climbing the corporate ladder—we’re transforming it with genuine connection, inclusivity, compassion, and creativity.  Visit her SparkPath Guidance site and learn more.

When she isn’t serving your clients, she’s masterfully orchestrating for her social family, which includes two busy and bubbly twin daughters and her stalwart, adventurous husband. Her husband and daughters ground Erica and remind her to enjoy life, one glass of wine at a time.
